Customers

What changes, according
to the people it changed for

Five customers describe what was different after moving onto the platform. Their words rather than ours, covering manufacturing, healthcare, food technology and consumer electronics.

What customers mention

Three themes come up more than anything else

Across the feedback we receive, the same three subjects appear far more often than any individual feature.

Speed, and what it frees up

Cycle time is the first thing people notice, because it is the most visible. Karen M., a VP Finance in manufacturing, describes cutting an eight day purchase order cycle to under four hours. What she emphasises is not the number but the consequence, which is that her accounts payable team stopped spending the day chasing approvals.

Knowing before the invoice arrives

Daphna Shafran, Head of FP and A at Remilk, points to commitment visibility rather than speed. Seeing what has been committed in real time changed how quarterly planning is done, and removed the month end surprise of discovering what accounts payable was about to process.

Implementation and support

The two subjects we did not expect to dominate. Alvin M., a Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing in healthcare, compares it against platforms he has implemented in organisations of over ten thousand people. Patrick L. in consumer electronics is direct that the software is excellent but the support team is what sets it apart.

Robin D., a purchasing agent in healthcare, offers the line we think about most. A paper based process went fully digital in under a month, and by week three nobody wanted to go back.

Talking to a customer

The conversation that actually decides it

We would rather you asked a customer the hard questions than took a quote on a page at face value.

Ask for a reference call

A published quote tells you what somebody was willing to say for a website. A reference call tells you what implementation was actually like, what went wrong, and what they would do differently.

We can usually arrange one with a customer of a similar size, and where possible in your sector. Ask during evaluation rather than at the end.

FAQ

Questions about our customers

Are these testimonials real?
Yes. They are published customer statements, given as quoted. Where somebody preferred not to be named in full we have used their role and sector instead, which is why some appear as a first name and initial.
Why are there not more of them?
Because we publish the ones customers have given us rather than filling the page. We would rather show five real statements than twenty that read as though the same person wrote them.
Can we speak to an existing customer?
Usually yes, and we encourage it. Ask during evaluation and we will try to arrange somebody of a similar size and where possible in your sector.
Do you have customers in our industry?
Ask us on the call and we will tell you honestly, including when the answer is no. Being the first in a sector is not necessarily a problem, but you should know it going in.
What do customers most often say went wrong?
Underestimating the catalog. Teams that load a thin catalog see people go around it, and then have to fix that later. It is the thing we most often warn about and the thing most often skipped.
How long before customers see a difference?
Cycle time improves within weeks. Spend analysis takes a quarter or two of clean data behind it before the findings are worth acting on, which several customers mention explicitly.
